Talos Protection Inc. (“Talos”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through talosprotection.ca and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect

When you request a consultation. Our contact form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your phone number, city or postal code, property type, the services you’re interested in, your timeline and a message about your project.

When you email or call us. We keep the information you choose to share, such as your contact details, address and project details.

When you visit the website. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to operate and secure the site. The site also stores one small setting in your browser so the opening animation plays only once per visit; it is not used to identify you.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation or site visit.
• To prepare your written proposal and carry out the work you request.
• To provide aftercare and support, and to keep the records needed for warranties, accounting and legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we will not send you marketing emails unless you ask us to.

Consent

By submitting our contact form and ticking the consent box, you agree to be contacted by Talos Protection Inc. about your enquiry. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, subject to any legal or contractual obligations.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information when it is needed to serve you:

• Service providers that help us run our business, such as our website host and email provider, who may only use it to provide their services to us.
• Product manufacturers, where needed to register a manufacturer warranty on your behalf.
• Authorities, where we are required to by law.

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

Third-party content on this site

Our fonts are provided by Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers to load them. Demonstration videos are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode and only load when you choose to play one; YouTube’s own privacy policy applies once a video is playing.

How we protect and keep it

We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards to protect personal information from loss, theft and unauthorized access. We keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above, including warranty and record-keeping requirements, and securely delete it when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
