Thicker film offers more resistance. 14 mil is our strongest and suits high-risk glass such as ground-floor doors and storefronts; 8 mil suits most residential glass. We recommend the right thickness after assessing your glass and frames.

Film alone keeps glass fragments together, but an unanchored pane can still be pushed out of its frame in one piece. We bond the film edge-to-frame with DOWSIL™ 995 structural silicone, in white, black or gray to blend with your frames, so the pane stays put.
